Mine Water Energy Expert Group
The mine water energy expert group initiated in 2022 is coordinated by the British Geological Survey with input from industry, universities, Government and environmental regulators. The group aims to use current UK expertise and interest in the field of mine water thermal energy to leverage global collaborations and knowledge sharing.
It developed from the 2021 and 2022 mine water energy symposia coordinated for IEA Geothermal TCP by the British Geological Survey (BGS) and Coal Authority.
